Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.
I never even thought of it as a kid. It was 4 years ago when my mother agent and friend, Christian Kimena, scouted me on my way home from work.
Most memorable modeling experience so far?
So far, it was seeing all the billboards of my campaign for Off-White. Again, I never thought I would have achieved something like this. I was so happy to share this moment with all my family and friends. I was so grateful to my agent.
One song you have on repeat, and why?
If I could say only one song, it would be “Reachin’ 2 Much” by Anderson Paak. It’s ridiculous how good he is. I love the beginning of the song so much. He has such a groove and a style. I mean, look at all his wigs. Look at him play the drums. That guy is unstoppable.
What other passions do you have aside from modeling?
Aside from modeling, I love fashion, of course. I’m a huge manga fan. I used to read mangas all night long in my high school days. I also drew a lot. I still draw sometimes. I’m at a decent level in bouldering (rock climbing).
What is something you’ve always wanted to do/try?
I’ve always wanted to be involved in a film set. Luckily, thanks to my agent, I kind of played in one recently. Definitely want to do this again.
What’s one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
I study informatics at an engineering school.
What change would you like to see in the world?
More compassion.
